  • Darfur is in Africa
  • people have been burned
  • people are providing medical and other stuff
  • 30,000 people might have been displaced
  • There are children being abounded
  • peace keepers  protect people
  • since 2003 theres been a lot of violence
  • Rebellion broke out in 2003
  • 2.5 million have been driven by their homes.
  • 200,000 have died

What I know about Darfur is that alot of people are dieing. Darfur is in Africa. People have been burned. There are children being misplaced and loosing their homes and their families. People have been providing medical and other stuff. Theres been a lot of violence and bad stuff going on since 2003. About 2.5 million people have been driven out their homes. And about 200,000 have died. I think that its not easy for those people living in darfur because of all that stuff is going on. I also think that sad because a lot of people don’t have nothing to eat and also because they are getting taken away from their families. I think no one would like to get taken away from  their families.

I think that its wrong that they are acusing them.

The conflict began in the arid and impoverished region early in 2003 after a rebel group began attacking government targets, saying the region was being neglected by Khartoum.

Refugees from Darfur say that following air raids by government aircraft, the Janjaweed ride into villages on horses and camels, slaughtering men, raping women and stealing whatever they can find.

I chose this picture because it looks very interesting and also because its sad to see all these people from Darfur going through all these bad stuff. I think that all these people feel bad for themselves and for others that are there and that are going through bad stuff like loosing their families and not having nothing to eat. I know that kids get sad when they get taken away from their homes. A lot of people had been getting burn and a lot of people have died.

They spoke of toddlers being burnt alive in villages as men on horseback razed their houses to the ground; of women being raped as they fled their homes looking for safety in the early stages of the conflict. At night, people said they still found it hard to sleep - terrified of being killed while in their beds.

I think that it’s very sad to read this and hear about people being scare that things could happen to them. If I was one of them I would also be very scare. But one thing I don’t understand is that why do people need to get to these levels and rape and do bad stuff I think that is not right.
